Q: What would you give to ensure the arts for future generations?

In 2007, Fredericksburg Festival of the Arts will celebrate 20 years of presenting cultural programs for the enjoyment and education of area residents of all ages. A nonprofit organization, FFA has worked hard to foster excellence and diversity in the arts in Virginia and to provide world-class performing arts events to all residents at affordable cost.

Now, to ensure the excellence and vitality of the region's cultural life for the next 15 years, and for many years beyond, FFA announces the establishment of the Fredericksburg Festival of the Arts Endowment Fund.

Your gift to the Fund will bring significant benefits to the community in many ways;

Opening new vistas for area youngsters, many of whom are deemed "at risk", with the International Childrens Series and Winter Childrens Opera Event;

Encouraging students to hone their artistry and proficiency through the adjudicated annual Young Artists Competition;

Providing Nursing Home Residents an opportunity to remain in the cultural mainstream and find relief from isolation, loneliness and boredom with regularly scheduled Arts-In-Motion concerts;

Educating young people from middle school to college and others about the classics through live, professional theater during the annual Shakespeare Weekend.
