As
its signature
event, FFA presents the annual Fredericksburg
Chamber Music Festival.
The
program brings together world class musicians
with decades of international touring experience to delight audiences in
a series of performances. This year the festival was held on June 2-6,
with three performances held at historic St. George’s
Episcopal Church in Old Town Fredericksburg with its wonderful
acoustics, and the fourth performance was at Mountain View High School
in Stafford.
The Chamber Music Festival Artists have performed at
Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, London’s Wigmore Hall, The Sidney Opera House and many other famed venues;
at the Chamber Music Festival, spectators have the rare opportunity to
hear them perform together in historic downtown Fredericksburg! In
addition, the program for the first three evenings featured a piece performed by one of FFA’s 2009 Young Artist Competition
Winners, and on the final evening, performers were joined by
strings and drama students from Stafford County.
