Founded
in 1988, The Fredericksburg Festival of
the Arts (FFA) has evolved from a small, annual world-renown
chamber music festival to a premier presenter of the performing arts in
the Rappahannock Region of Virginia. Our mission statement : "The Fredericksburg Festival of the Arts exists to promote, provide and preserve the highest quality of the performing arts for all." Our goal is to present to the region the highest quality performances in theater, dance and highly diverse musical repertoire from classical to jazz to blue grass. We are a volunteer organization, pursuing these endeavors with the generous support of our members and sponsoring individuals, businesses and organizations. These events are made possible, in part, through a generous donation from PNC Bank, demonstrating its commitment to sustain the performing arts in the Fredericksburg Region. We welcome support from the entire community! |
Our
next exciting event is the 22nd Annual
Fredericksburg Chamber Music
Festival, June 2-6, 2009 in historic Fredericksburg and
Stafford (one performance). The Festival features world-class
musicians who have performed at internationally acclaimed venues such as
Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, London's Wigmore Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. There will also be a
special opening performance on the first three evenings by one of FFA's
very own 2009 Young Artist Competition Winners. Click on the
Festival icon to see
all the information about the Festival including the schedule of performances, performer
biographies, and ticket information. |
